Q: Which is the best battery for my CPAP/device?

A: The Portable Outlet will last the longest and is the most versatile CPAP Battery. It will run all home and travel CPAPs.

If you are looking for smaller batteries for travel CPAPs, such as the AirMini, we recommend the Medistrom Pilot-24 Lite. For the Breas Z1 and Z2 we recommend the Z2 Powershell.

Q: Which battery will last the longest?

A: The Portable Outlet will last the longest and is the most versatile CPAP Battery. It will run all home and travel CPAPs.

Q: How many hours will the Portable Outlet run my CPAP?

A:  The Portable Outlet battery will power any CPAP device for 8-10 hours at an average pressure of 10 and the heated tube turned off and the humidifier turned down or off.

Q: Can I take the batteries on a plane?

A:  Each battery meets FAA and TSA requirements to be carried on an airplane.  No documentation is necessary.  Do not check the battery in your luggage.

Q: Can I charge the battery in a car or with a solar charger?

A:  There is a DC to AC car charging inverter.  It converts your 12-volt cigarette lighter output into a 110-volt outlet.  Simply plug your battery’s charging cord into the inverter while the vehicle is running.  The inverter can be used on any vehicle with a cigarette lighter output (car, boat, camper, etc).

There is also a 60-Watt solar panel charger.

Q: Can I charge the batteries with my existing solar panel?

A: Connecting your solar panel to the battery will void the warranty.

Portable Outlet offers a matching 60-watt solar panel that, in good sun, will charge the battery just as fast as a wall outlet (4-5 hours).  Remember to keep the battery in the shade.

Q: What is the price of the different batteries?

Portable Outlet:

Battery (PO-160UPSv2) = $349
Car Charging Inverter (DC2AC) = $39
60-watt Solar Panel Charger (PO-SPC60) = $349

Medistrom:

Pilot 24 Lite Battery (P24MPLBP1) = $339
Car Charger (P99ACCPCC) = $35
50-watt Solar Panel Charger (P99ACCS50) = $235

Breas/Z2:

Z1 and Z2 Power Shell with battery (HD60-7020) = $379

Q: Will the portable outlet charge a portable oxygen concentrator?

A: It can power and charge most Portable Oxygen Concentrators that are small enough to carry on your shoulder. It will not power any continuous flow oxygen concentrators or units that are heavier than 7 pounds.

Q: How long will it take to ship to me?  Do you ship outside the US?  I need it fast.  Can you ship it “Next Day”?

A: We do not ship batteries “Next-Day” or “Two-day”. Express or Air Shipping is expensive and complicated for lithium-ion batteries. Once you place your order the product will ship via FedEx or UPS ground service.  You will be emailed a tracking link.

We do not ship outside the continental United States.

Q: What are the weight and dimensions of the batteries?

Portable Outlet, 2 pounds, 14 ounces, 5.5” x 9” x 1.5”

Medistrom Pilot 24, 1 pound, 5 ounces, 3.5” x 6 ¾” x 3/4”

Q: What is the voltage of the batteries?

A1:  Portable Outlet battery can be charged using North American 110 volts or internationally up to 240 volts.  Simply use a plug adaptor to match the wall outlet; no transformer is needed.  When charging, the battery automatically matches voltage between 100 and 240 volts depending on your location.

A2: Medistrom Pilot-24 does not come with a charging cord. You must use the power supply of a compatible device.

The output of the Pilot 24 is 24 volts.

Q: What is the warranty and return policy?

Response:  We offer a one-year limited warranty from the date of purchase. Proof of purchase is required.
